No account is required to use Reformat's free tier. If you choose to create an account for Pro or Business plans, we collect:

We automatically collect certain information when you use Reformat:

• -Conversion types and tool usage (e.g., "PDF to Word"), but not the content of your files.

• -IP address (anonymized for analytics).
• -Pages visited and interaction patterns.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. We do not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials. 3. File Handling and Data Retention

We take the security of your files seriously. Here is exactly how we handle them:

• -Encryption in transit: All files are uploaded and downloaded over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
• -Auto-deletion: All uploaded files and converted outputs are automatically and permanently deleted within 1 hour of processing. No copies are retained.
• -No content access: We do not read, analyze, or mine the contents of your files for any purpose other than performing the requested conversion or AI processing.
• -No training data: Your files are never used to train machine learning or AI models.
• -No third-party sharing: Your files are never shared with, sold to, or accessed by third parties, except as needed to perform AI processing features you explicitly request.

4. AI Features and Privacy

When you use AI-powered features (document summarizer, document chat, OCR text extraction), your file content may be processed by third-party AI providers. In these cases:

• -File content is sent to the AI provider solely to perform the requested task.
• -Data sent to AI providers is subject to the same 1-hour auto-deletion policy on our servers.
• -We select AI providers that commit to not retaining or using your data for model training.
• -AI features are opt-in only and available exclusively on Pro and Business plans.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• -Provide, maintain, and improve the Reformat service.
• -Process your file conversions and deliver results.
• -Manage your account and subscription.
• -Send transactional emails (account verification, subscription receipts, important service updates).
• -Analyze usage patterns in aggregate to improve our tools and user experience.
• -Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Reformat uses cookies and similar technologies for:

• -Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management.
• -Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to understand how our service is used. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

Reformat is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@reformat.pro and we will delete it promptly.

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using Reformat, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your own. We take steps to ensure that your data receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.
